We are super excited – Weekendavisen has made interview with Laureline, Anna and Ozcetin sisters during the second leg of the project.
We were happy to see everyone at the opening of our exhibition and installation on June 3rd, 2016. Please stay in touch, let us know about your thoughts on the project and stay tuned for the continuation of it!
The installation took place on June 1st and lasted between 9am to almost 4pm. All of us were exhausted, but happy. The prints arrived safely and in full set. We were also very happy with the quality of the prints and the way they were produced – bigger pieces, but it meant smaller amount and less screws on them. The Metro people did such a good job with the installation! Great people with amazing sense of humor!
Overall it was both scary and relieving to see them go up there and be open to the public and somewhat vulnerable. We hope you’ll take good care of them!
See you today at the opening – 17.00, Politikens Boghal
It’s only five days until the official opening of the exhibition. We are super excited about it and we hope to see many of you this upcoming Friday, June 3rd at 17.00 at the Politiken Boghal.
The wall is ready for us. The question is – are we ready for the wall? We will see that on Wednesday. In case you’re as curious as we are – join us on June 1st for the day, when the installation will go up this wall!
It is our great pleasure to invite you to the opening of the exhibition of our project – Indvielsen | Initiation: The Danish Tribe
June 3, 2016
17:00 – 19:00 – Artist talk at 17.30
Politiken Boghal – Rådhuspladsen 37 , 1785 København K
The first part of our project will be exhibited as an installation on the Metro’s construction’s wall -City Hall Square. This is definitely the largest installation that we have ever been part of – we take over the whole wall, which is 4 meters high and 50 meters long, from top to bottom!
The oversized portraits, accompanied by a narrative, will be there from the 3rd of June 2016 until end of December 2016.
We are really looking forward to seeing you on June 3rd for the opening of this bizarre project!
“Indvielsen | den danske stamme” is part of Copenhagen Photo Festival !
“Indvielsen | den danske stamme” is to be shown on Byens Hegn on Rådhuspladsen.
Indeed, as some kind of gigantic trailer, the first four portraits of “Indvielsen” are to be shown in an over-sized version on the 4 meters high wall surrounding the Copenhagen Metro construction on the City Hall Square from June 3rd!

Germany or Norway or Sweden
Turkey or Iran
Afghanistan or Pakistan or Syria
If you are interested or know someone who might be interested — please drop an email to Laureline: laurelinedemonet [at] gmail.com
We are looking forward to hearing your story!
Today we finally got around to work on the images. It is not that easy to figure out all the details, since it is rather special. The planned installation will take over one whole stretch of the construction wall around the future Metro station nearby the City Hall in Copenhagen. It’s dimensions are 4 meters high and 50 meters long. It is by far the largest project that I have done previously. We are happy that Andrea Landi is helping us out with this task. And we are looking forward to seeing the result.
Exciting news of the day – Indvielsen was published by VERDENsPRESSEN, a bi-annual journal of the Københavns Sprogcenter.
