Şeyda is from Turkey. She tells me about Scandinavian feminists and how they look like. To be acknowledged as a feminist in Denmark, she says, you have to look like a boy. Otherwise, you’ll be considered an alienated, oppressed female. Şeyda’s mask for her initiation is a glory made out of men shirts.
Scandinavian feminists mostly have boyish or more interesting haircuts. They don’t shave. They wear skinny jeans, over sized tops and second hand treasures. Dresses, low-necked tops and marked waist is for oppressed girls who don’t know better.
