A Hundred Faces

Julia is from Mozambique. She tells me about the ability of Danish women to play with multiple identities. She was raised in a society where gender strictly constricts one’s looks. Her mask distorts the face in multiple facets, as in a cubist painting.

The Danish woman can be dressed as a tomboy and still be considered fully a woman. She can play around with multiple identities as is not stuck in a unique role model as women are in Mozambique.
